Mexico kept the game close with a state-ranked conference rival in Friday night. The Bulldogs only trailed by six points until the fourth quarter but ultimately couldn't put together a scoring drive to lose 13-0. Moberly had two-yard rushing touchdowns from Gage St. Clair in the first quarter and then Ka'Von Tiger in the fourth quarter. Moberly made several stops on fourth down when Mexico drove the ball into Spartan territory, which were necessary after Moberly quarterback Jackson Engel fumbled the ball near the goal line early in the second quarter to result in a touchback and following Mexico's goal line stand with seconds left in the first half.
