After a having a runner each of the first three innings, Van-Far broke through in a big way in the fourth.
The Lady Indians scored all of their runs to defeat district foe Hermann 7-3 on Wednesday during their Pink Out Night in Vandalia and earn their fourth win of the season, giving them one more win than last year and their first win this season against a district opponent. Reeve Woodall pitched seven innings for the first time in her career, allowing three earned runs on seven hits and five walks while striking out six. Mylee Keller finished with two RBI, and Dalana Gay and Trinity Skwirtz each had one one RBI on a night Van-Far needed only two hits due to seven Hermann errors -- four in the fourth.
Van-Far (4-17, 1-8 EMO) finishes their string of four games in four days with their regular season finale at 5 p.m. Thursday against Eastern Missouri Conference foe Clopton (11-10, 3-6 EMO).
