Mexico 49 Marshall 13 in Mexico Homecoming game
Mexico took a 27-0 lead after the first quarter thanks to two touchdowns in the first three minutes that were off a couple of lost fumbles on kickoffs by Marshall (0-4, 0-1 NCMC). Drew DeMint had three touchdowns (including a 65-yard punt return) and had five rushes for 102 yards, Charlie Fisher threw for 60 yards and three touchdowns on 6-for-7 passing, and Tyson Carr caught two touchdown passes and gained 67 yards on four receptions. Marshall quarterback Chase Thompson ran for two touchdowns.
Mexico (2-2, 1-0 NCMC) plays at conference foe Hannibal (2-2, 1-0 NCMC) next week.
Class 1 No. 8 Van-Far 28 Mark Twain 26 in Center to retain Farmers Cup
After being down 20-14 at halftime, Van-Far (4-0, 2-0 EMO) defeated Mark Twain (1-3, 0-1 EMO) to win the Farmers Cup for the second straight year.
Van-Far hosts conference foe Montgomery County (0-4, 0-2 EMO) next week.
Class 2 No. 3 Bowling Green 50 North Callaway 8 in Kingdom City
North Callaway (3-1, 1-1 EMO) was tied at 8 in the first quarter but couldn't stay with Bowling Green (4-0, 2-0 EMO).
North Callaway plays at Palmyra (3-1) next week.
Monroe City 36 Centralia 34 in Centralia
Centralia led Monroe City 34-22 at the end of the third quarter but couldn't defeat its Clarence Cannon Conference rival a second straight year to put Monroe City at 2-2 overall and 1-1 in conference. Centralia is 2-2 overall and 1-1 in conference.
Centralia plays at conference foe Macon (0-3) next week.
Linn 30 Missouri Military Academy 0 in Mexico
Missouri Military Academy closed its varsity schedule with a 30-0 loss to Linn at home. The Colonels varsity squad falls to 0-3 while Linn goes to 1-3 and earns first win of program.
8-Man Football: Paris 74 Northland Christian 8 in Paris
Paris kept the points coming to move to a 3-1 record and put Northland Christian at a 2-2 record.
Paris plays at North Shelby (3-1) next week.
