Why are you running and why should people vote for you?
I’m running because working people in Northeast Missouri deserve a senator who answers to them, not to party bosses, corporate donors, or the same political insiders who keep protecting the status quo. I’m a combat veteran, a worker, and a first-time candidate because I believe public service should still mean service.
Too many families are being squeezed by healthcare costs, underfunded schools, rising utility bills, childcare costs and a state government that too often ignores the people it claims to represent. I believe liberty means freedom from oppression, whether that oppression comes from government overreach, corporate greed, or politicians who think voters are too uninformed to know what they voted for.
People should vote for me because I will be honest, accessible, and independent-minded. I won’t pretend to have all the answers, but I will listen, do the work, and fight for regular Missourians with the same determination I brought to serving my country.
What are your goals if elected?
My first goal is to restore accountability to state government. Too often, voters make their voices clear and politicians in Jefferson City look for ways to ignore, weaken, or overturn what the people decided. That has to stop.
If elected, I will focus on practical issues that affect working families across Northeast Missouri: protecting public education, expanding access to affordable healthcare, defending personal liberty, supporting rural communities, and making sure taxpayer money serves the people instead of special interests.
I also want to bring a different kind of representation to this district. I will be accessible, honest, and willing to stand up to my own party when necessary. My goal is not to become part of the political class. My goal is to represent the people who feel like government stopped listening to them.
What issues are most pressing for your constituency?
The most pressing issues for Northeast Missouri are affordability, healthcare, public education, childcare, data centers, and whether rural communities are being heard at all. Too many working families are doing everything right and still falling behind because wages are not keeping up, healthcare is too expensive, and basic services are getting harder to access.
In a rural district, healthcare is not an abstract policy issue. It means whether people can see a doctor close to home, afford their medication, get mental health care, or keep a local hospital open. Public education matters just as much. Our schools are often the backbone of our communities, and state government should be strengthening them, not draining resources away from them.
I also hear real concern about whether Jefferson City listens to rural Missourians at all. People want good jobs, fair utility costs, reliable infrastructure, clean water, and a government that respects the will of the voters. Those are the issues I believe matter most: healthcare, schools, affordability, rural investment, and accountable government.
