Why are you running and why should people vote for you?
The County Treasurer is the custodian of all the tax dollars collected by the county. This includes tax dollars that support many taxing entities like our schools, fire and road districts, and other local services. It is the Treasurer's job to make sure all money is distributed properly, timely, and that every penny is accurately accounted for.
I am running for Audrain County Treasurer because I care deeply about our community, and believe taxpayers deserve honesty, accountability, and transparency with their money. Every tax dollar represents hard working families, farmers, small businesses, and residents who expect the county government to operate responsibly. I want to build on the strong work ethic, trust, commitment the current Treasurer has established.
My qualifications are rooted in a decade of dedicated service to Audrain County. For seven years, I served as the administrative assistant to the County Commission for the Road and Bridge Department, gaining a first-hand understanding of our infrastructure needs. For the last three years, I have served as Deputy Clerk, managing payroll and accounts payable. Throughout these ten years, I have worked closely with the Treasurer’s office to ensure state funding was accurately distributed and that all departmental funds were balanced through monthly, semi-annual, and annual audits.
I am committed to utilizing the knowledge I have gained to benefit every resident of Audrain County. With a proven track record in financial oversight, county operations, and partnership across county departments, I possess the experience and dedication necessary to serve as your next County Treasurer. As I seek the office of County Treasurer, my primary objective is to strengthen trust through unwavering financial integrity and absolute transparency. The management of public funds is not merely an administrative task; it is a profound responsibility to every student, first responder, and taxpayer in our district. My campaign is built on the promise of protecting these resources professionally and with a dedication to public service.
If elected, I will maintain consistent processes for receiving funds, balancing budgets, and reporting. Our schools, fire departments, and road districts rely on timely and accurate funding to serve our community. By maintaining thorough records and adhering to strict oversight, I will ensure that every dollar is accounted for and that vendors are paid accurately. Taxpayers deserve the confidence of knowing their contributions are managed with the highest level of precision.

The most pressing issues facing our constituency today are affordability, accountability, and transparency. Residents deserve to know that their tax dollars are handled with the highest level of responsibility and that local government operates with maximum efficiency. With nearly 10 years of dedicated service to Audrain County, I possess a deep, first-hand understanding of our operations that qualifies me to address these concerns. My seven years as the Administrative Assistant to the County Commission provided me with a comprehensive overview of county governance, technical needs, and the importance of professional communication with residents. Furthermore, my nearly three years as Deputy Clerk—specifically managing accounts payable and payroll—have given me the specialized financial expertise required to ensure our county’s fiscal health is managed transparently and accountably. I am committed to leveraging this experience to continue earning trust and ensure our government remains accessible and efficient for every taxpayer.
