Mexico football will welcome back several all-district players next season.
The Bulldogs had four players honored for Class 4 District 4 when the announcement was made earlier this month, including juniors Daunte Cline, Hunter Cuno and Peyton Hoover and sophomore Leighton Hilderman.
Cline and Hilderman were honored as defensive linemen after finishing with 39 and 37 tackles, respectively. Cline had seven tackles for loss and three sacks and Hilderman had one tackle for loss.
Cuno and Hoover finished ranked first and second on the team in tackles as part of Mexico’s linebacking corps. At the top was Cuno’s 72 tackles along with two tackles for loss and then came Hoover’s 64 tackles to go with a team-high nine tackles for loss and two sacks.
