A new summer means new changes for North Callaway girls basketball.
Following two seasons led by Tim Turlington, volleyball head coach and boys assistant coach Andrew Klein takes over the Ladybirds program starting this season. Klein had the chance to work with his players during the North Callaway girls’ summer camp from May 30-June 1, spending its first block of time with upcoming middle schoolers before the high schoolers had their chance on the court.
Klein will continue to lead the volleyball program along with his basketball duties as the young coach that began at North Callaway two years ago as the volleyball coach increases his workload.
The Ladybirds also began their summer games schedule that week as they played in their first shootout on the morning of June 1 at Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly. They will be looking to improve on a 15-12 record and district semifinal finish from a year ago, which is better than the 11-14 record from two years back.
