One of the oldest basketball tournaments in the state, the 97th annual Bowling Green Tourney gets underway Monday, Jan. 24 and runs through Jan. 29.
The girls open play Monday, with No. 4 Van-Far taking on No. 5 North Callaway at 7 p.m. in the middle school gym.
Other Monday night games are Elsberry (1) against Louisiana (8) at 5:30, Clopton (2) against Bowling Green (7) at 7 p.m. in the high school gym; and Silex (3) versus Winfield (6) at 5:30 in the middle school gym.
On the boys bracket, the North Callaway Thunderbirds have earned the No. 4 seed and will open Tuesday against No. 5 Bowling Green at 7 p.m. in the high school gym. Van-Far, the tourney’s No. 7 seed, will square off against No. 2 Elsberry at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the middle school gym.
Other opening round boys games are Winfield (1) against Silex (8), 5:30 Tuesday, Louisiana (3) versus Clopton (6) at 7 p.m. in the middle school gym.
