Paris girls take advantage on boards, defeat Brashear in regular season finale

The Paris girls were able to wrap up their regular season with a victory.

The Lady Coyotes managed to double their win total from a season ago, earning their eighth victory on Tuesday at Brashear (9-16) 37-28. Paris fought all night for rebounds, gaining the advantage 38-31 and 15-10 on offensive rebounds.

Reese Sutton led Paris (8-18) with 14 points and nine rebbounds, Alyssa Webb followed with 10 points and eight rebounds, with half being on the offensive glass, and Kameron Arnett knocked down a couple of 3-pointers and came away with three steals.

Lacey Fisher was Brashear's main threat on the glass, finishing with 11 points and 17 rebounds.

The Lady Coyotes had the advantage all night by taking a 10-8 lead after the first quarter, a 23-17 lead at halftime and 32-20 advantage after the third quarter.

Paris has the No. 6 seed in the Class 2 District 5 tournament in Sturgeon and will face Clopton (12-12) at 6 p.m. Feb. 21 in the first round.
