The Lady Coyotes lost 11-2 after being outhit 10-4 and committing six errors that allowed seven unearned runs.
Kennedy Ashenfelter stayed in the circle for all seven innings for Paris as she struck out six and walked four. Reese Sutton had the lone RBI on a sixth-inning sacrifice fly for the Lady Coyotes (1-3), and Wendi Sutherland had a double.
Paris took advantage of an error in the second inning to tie the game at 1 as Alyssa Webb reached on a mishandled pop fly. Back-to-back RBI hits by Cairo (2-1) in the third inning made it 4-1 and then Paris allowed runs in every inning after that.
Paris played at district foe North Shelby on Tuesday prior to hosting Van-Far (0-1) at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
