PSB Bank, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, has helped secure $310,000 in Member Impact Fund grants for 22 organizations across Missouri.
PSB Bank committed $77,500, which was matched with an additional $232,500 from FHLB Des Moines, multiplying the impact of the bank’s community investment.
The grants support organizations providing affordable housing, food assistance, healthcare, youth programs, shelter services, economic development, small-business support, and other essential services throughout the communities PSB Bank serves.
“This partnership gave us an opportunity to take the investment we were already prepared to make in our communities and multiply its impact,” said Mark Laune, President and CEO of PSB Bank. “Our employees know these communities and the organizations doing important work in them. Being able to help bring $310,000 back to organizations serving our neighbors is exactly what community banking should be about. When our communities are stronger, we are stronger.”
A key part of the effort was led by Olivia Williams, PSB Bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Program Administrator, who worked with teams across each of the bank’s regions to identify organizations making a meaningful impact in their communities. Williams helped coordinate the application process and traveled throughout the bank’s footprint to meet with many of the organizations receiving funding.
“One of the most meaningful parts of this project was getting to see what these grants meant to the people doing this work every day,” Williams said. “There were tears, hugs, and so much excitement when organizations learned they would be receiving funding. Hearing their stories and seeing firsthand how these dollars will help people in their communities made all the work behind this project incredibly rewarding.”
Working alongside employees in each region, Williams helped connect local knowledge with the Member Impact Fund opportunity, ensuring that organizations with strong community impact were considered for funding.
Rhineland Region $60,000
Montgomery City Region — $30,000
St. Charles Region $70,000
Green City Region $90,000
Pacific Region $60,000
The Member Impact Fund partnership allowed PSB Bank to extend its local investment and provide additional support to organizations working to strengthen communities across Missouri.
The initiative reflects PSB Bank’s commitment to building strong local relationships and investing in the communities it serves
