Ian Tuggle and Cullen Bennett each had standout seasons for the 9-2 Centralia Panthers.

They each added all-state honors and accounted for three of the team’s seven all-district awards in Class 3 District 4, according to an announcement earlier this month. Tuggle made the Class 3 first team as a defensive lineman, which earned him an all-district spot, and Cullen Bennett is an all-state second team punter along with being all-district punter and quarterback.

Tuggle led the defensive line and the Panthers with five sacks to go with 76 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, seven sacks and two fumble recoveries. Ashton Price is an all-district linebacker after finishing with 82 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, three sacks and three fumble recoveries. Beau Hatton and Elliott McCoy were honored as defensive backs following 64 tackles, five pass break-ups, two tackles for loss, four sacks and two interceptions for Hatton and McCoy’s 42 tackles, four interceptions — including one returned for a touchdown — nine pass break-ups and a tackle for loss.

Bennett averaged 40.4 yards per punt and placed opponents inside the 20-yard line five times. He was also a dual threat as a quarterback after amassing 2,220 scrimmage yards and 29 touchdowns, throwing for 16 compared to six interceptions for a 59.2 completion percentage and averaging 6.9 yards per carry.

Jesse Caballero was a reliable rushing option for the Panthers as well, compiling 1,110 yards and 15 touchdowns on 8.1 yards per carry.
