The Mexico cross country team had two runners medal at the Gans Creek Classic held in Columbia Saturday.
Anna Fairchild had her best race of the season and placed eighth overall in the girls division. She finished the 3.1-mile race in 22 minutes, 45 seconds.
Also medaling was Thomas Peuster who was ninth in 18:31.60 in the boys division.
The boys team placed first overall out of 14 schools in their division. The compiled 101 points, two ahead of runner-up Harrisonville.
Geoffrey Penn finished 17th in 19:00, followed by Guy Fairchild in 18th in 19:02. Other Bulldogs competing in the race were Tyler Quinlan (29th, 19:34), Nathan Bull (41st, 20:28), Race Azdell (50th, 20:54), Micah Davolt (55th, 21:07), William Bingham (78th, 22:11), Emanuel Rameriz Rodriquez (80th, 22:19) and Mekhi Owens (83rd, 22:45).
The Mexico girls team placed fourth overall out of 11 schools.
Others to run for the Bulldogs were Kalea Henneberry (22nd, 24:01), Kali Turlington (25th, 24:06), Sidney Turlington (33rd, 24:38), Miriam Gleeson (64th, 27:12), Haley Chastain (76th, 29:21) and Moenaisa Sidique (84th, 30:40).
