The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office since 2017 has participated in a program to fund domestic violence investigations. The county received $78,098 from the Missouri Department of Public Safety Victim Services Unit on Monday to continue the investigator program through 2021.
Detective Rich Ingram has served as the department’s domestic violence investigator since the program started.
“[He] has done an outstanding job in bridging the gap between law enforcement, victims, available services and the legal process,” Sheriff Matt Oller wrote in a news release.
The investigation program is a cooperative of the Missouri Department of Public Safety, the Audrain County Sheriff, the Audrain County Prosecutor, Our Safe Place/Audrain County Crisis Intervention Services, the Associate Circuit Court and the Audrain County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.
“We are happy to be able to continue to offer this resource to our Domestic and Sexual Violence victims in our communities,” Oller wrote.
