The Centralia boys were the victors on Saturday at the Fulton Invitational.

The Panthers had 58 points to take first by 28 points while Mexico finished fourth with 114 points. The Lady Bulldogs were sixth 168 points.

“Conditions were not great for racing and the kids were a little fatigued from all the Homecoming events,” Mexico head coach Lucas Breneman said. “Overall, it was a good showing on both sides.”

Nolan Spickert was the runner-up for the Centralia boys with a time of 17:32, Carter Moss was fourth, Dryst Bostick was fifth and Zane Deckerd was 20th. For Mexico, Hunter Bickell was eighth with a time of 18:09, Andrew Peuster was 10th and Brady McCoy was 16th.

“The girls had a team,” Breneman said. “Our goal was to score as a team this season, and we made it happen and we did well considering how young we are.”
